ASTR 350 - Introduction to Cosmology
This is a descriptive course on modern cosmological theories. Topics include aspects of special and general relativity, the Big Bang, cosmic inflation, primordial element synthesis, the cosmic microwave background, and the formation of galaxies and large scale structure. ASTR 100 is the minimum prerequisite, although we review some essential ideas from introductory astronomy.
